What We Are Looking For
We are looking for one Sales Intern who is a driven individual with an interest in sales and customer relationship management who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, wholesale and retail sales environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable engaging with customers, supporting multiple stages of the sales process, and assisting the sales team with securing products to meet client needs.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Process, enter, and follow up on sales orders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely fulfillment
- Assist the sales team throughout various stages of the sales process, including order preparation and coordination
- Utilize Spirit of ‘76 sales tools and processes to support customer retail operations
- Respond to customer inquiries by providing order status updates, product information, and general sales support
- Maintain and update customer records, sales systems, databases, and reports as required
- Contribute to a positive, professional customer experience while learning wholesale and retail sales operations
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient order processing and customer satisfaction
- Perform general sales-related administrative duties and support special projects as assigned
QualificationsQualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- macOS experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Working Conditions
The internship is based on-site at our Columbia, Missouri office. Interns must be able to work a minimum of 35-40 hours per week with a flexible schedule, as occasional early evening and weekend hours may be required. The internship runs from mid-May through mid-July, with the potential for opportunities beyond that timeframe.
