Lead Python Developer (Architect)

Job Description

Strategic Staffing Solutions International's customer is a US-based software firm that builds real-time trading systems, exchanges, and clearing tools for global financial groups. Their New York/New Jersey team is growing, and they are looking for a Senior Python Developer/Architect to lead design and delivery of a secure, stable, and scalable data platform, using Python, SQL, GraphQL, and Databricks.

What you will do:

• Design and architect end-to-end solution interfacing with MDM systems.
• Develop and optimize GraphQL APIs for master data exposure.
• Working on Databricks and medallion architecture
• Lead and mentor technical teams through build-out, testing, and delivery phases.
• Ensure cloud best practices on Azure including security, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with data governance and compliance teams to align requirements.

What you will need:

• 8+ years of full-time development experience using Python with proven architectural experience
• Strong background in Databricks
• Proficiency in GraphQL API design is preffered
• Experience with cloud-native development on Microsoft Azure
• Solid knowledge of MDM (Master Data Management) principles
• Experience with data integration and governance frameworks
• Ability to lead architectural design and full delivery of platforms
• Ability to work closely with stakeholders across business and IT and translate business requirements into scalable, secure, maintainable solutions

What is offered:

• Pay rate: $100–$110 per hour (B2B or C2C contract)
• Hybrid work mode: 5 office days every 2 weeks, based in the New York/New Jersey area
