Lead Java Developer

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Lead Java Developer, you will guide and mentor a team of software engineers while designing and developing scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. You will act as a technical point of contact for cross-functional teams, architect event-driven systems with Apache Kafka, and build secure, well-documented RESTful APIs. This role also involves driving DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, Docker/Kubernetes), working with relational and NoSQL databases, and championing Agile methodologies. You will oversee the full SDLC, from requirements gathering to deployment, while fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. 8+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot
. 3+ years of experience leading teams or acting as a technical point of contact
. Proven experience with Apache Kafka (topics, schema, producers/consumers)
. Hands-on experience with REST API design and implementation
. Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
. Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)
. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and the full SDLC Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
. English fluency required
Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology or similar/and or relevant experience.

The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000 - $110,000 This role is an existing vacancy
