Construction Project Manager – Steel Erection

We are seeking a motivated Project Manager to work on our steel erection projects in the southeast region of the US. The office is located in Hillsborough, NC, but remote work is an option with travel as needed. You will need to travel to Hillsborough for interview and training initially.

Project Manager Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of steel erection projects with minimal oversight

• Day to day project coordination

• Project site visits

• RFI's

• BIM model planning

• Site specific safety plans

• Manpower management

• Recruitment, hiring, terminations and layoffs

• Change order requests

• Data entry and report reconciliation

• Budget creation and project buyouts

• Project takeoffs

• SOV creation

• Monthly P&L's, invoicing and collections

• Invoice approval

• Pre-construction tasks

• Crane rental negotiations

• Schedule and productivity management

• Attending site meetings and reviewing minutes

Project Manager Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction project management

• Background in steel erection and fabrication

• Strong ability to adapt to fast-paced, shifting schedules and priorities

• Knowledge of OSHA standards, industry best practices, equipment, and QA/QC procedures

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

• Valid driver’s license required

• Willingness to travel

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• OSHA 10-Hour Certification preferred

• $100k-$120k, depending on experience
