Clearance: Active IRS MBI Clearance is required to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities:
Lead execution of the cybersecurity program in compliance with FISMA, FedRAMP, IRS IRM 10.8, and applicable guidance from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Manage scope, schedule, budget, and resources for ATO, continuous monitoring, and security control implementation efforts.
Coordinate development and timely submission of required security artifacts (e.g., SSP, ISCP, BIA, SCA, POA&Ms, SBOM, C-SCRM Plan).
Serve as primary liaison between contractor teams, subcontractors, cloud providers, and government stakeholders (CO, COR, IRS Cybersecurity).
Track remediation of vulnerabilities, POA&M progress, and compliance with Binding Operational Directives issued by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
Oversee implementation milestones for MFA, encryption, Zero Trust Architecture, logging, boundary protection, and supply chain security controls.
Facilitate audits, site reviews, and documentation requests, ensuring required responses are delivered within mandated timelines.
Identify program risks and compliance gaps, develop mitigation strategies, and provide recurring status and risk posture reporting to government stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). Bachelor’s degree .
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification or equivalent.
10 years or more of progressively responsible experience in information technology project management, systems analysis, and systems integration in large scale or mission-critical environments.
Of those 10 years, at least 5 years must be in a lead or supervisory capacity, managing multidisciplinary teams and overseeing the full lifecycle of complex IT initiatives.
Preferred/Nice to Have Skills:
Master’s degree, or equivalent experience
ITIL, Agile, or DAWIA Level III PM certification
