Who You Are

Resource Furniture is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager, Furniture Installation to join our team in our Los Angeles showroom – 314 North Crescent Heights Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048. This person will be acting as the primary Project Manager for our West Coast Showrooms (Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle).

 

This is a full-time salary exempt position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, customer relations, and must have hands-on experience with installations, carpentry, repairs, etc., preferably with high-end furniture. This is a highly visible role, working with sales staff, drafters, a west coast customer service and logistics coordinator as well as our contracted warehouses and installation teams. This role will require you to be client facing whether on-site or virtually.  

 

Responsibilities will include everything from meticulous site measurements/notes and recommendations during the proposal process to seamless coordination with the west coast coordinator to ensure successful installations and service resolutions. With your expertise in project management and exceptional organizational skills, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the perfect experience for our clients. To be considered, you must have a valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and personal vehicle to travel between site visits.

What You'll Do

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs LA area on-site measurements and virtual visits for the SF and Seattle orders working directly with clients, sales staff, and drafters to ensure proper fit and functionality of space
  • Providing technical assistance to our clients by way of service calls, on-site repairs when necessary, or working with the logistics coordinator to arrange 3rd party crew. This also includes general project management during our installations.
    • Maintain reporting/notes in our ERP system (NetSuite)
  • Main point of contact for the three west coast installation teams to ensure successful project completion

 

 

What You Bring

Skills, experience, and expectations:

  • Proven experience in project management and project planning.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in customer service skills, conflict management and problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience in vendor relationship management.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement cost-effective measures.
  • Experience navigating and working exclusively in an ERP system (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc).
  • Valid Driver's License and personal vehicle; Resource Furniture will provide mileage reimburse consistent with IRS guidelines.
