Description

Emerson Tool Company is seeking a driven, efficient, and organized individual with excellent communication skills to join our Finance group as a Summer 2026 Intern. This position provides invaluable professional experience in a fast-paced environment. The Finance intern will support the day-to-day functions of the department, while also providing an opportunity to work on special projects and develop technical skills. This internship is located at Emerson Tool Company in Des Peres, MO.

 
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Work across the organization and leverage cross-functional teams to provide expert analytical support 
  • Develop and deliver influential presentations that summarize complex analyses and drive effective business decisions 
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to investigate price or cost trends
  • Develop partnerships across the business and functional areas of the organization

 
Who You Are:
  • You define overall goals and objectives. You study data to make course corrections. You prepare content for communication that is impactful. 

 
For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree in a business discipline
  • Basic knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts, procedures, and techniques 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel 
  • Ability to work full-time and onsite for the duration of the internship. 
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for the role

 
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • At least 2 years of completed coursework towards an undergraduate degree in a business discipline
  • General knowledge of fundamental accounting and financial concepts, procedures and analysis techniques
  • Experience with Oracle Financial Modules, Oracle Business Intelligence and GL Wand
  • Excellent organization and communication skill
  • Strong ability to deal with ambiguity and constant change
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2
